C. L. Lewis & Company is partnering with Hughes & Associates Architects to create the Rosemary & George Dawson Inn (named in honor of the longtime President/CEO of Centra and his wife). With Centra serving more and more patients from farther outside the Lynchburg area, lodging adjacent to Lynchburg General Hospital has become an increasing need. According to a Centra release, “The inn will provide the nearby comfort and convenience of a room for patients who may need to be near Centra hospitals or the cancer center for early-morning procedures, evaluations, multiple tests or therapies. The Centra Inn also will offer the promise of a close-by nap or night’s sleep for family members, saving them from multiple trips to and from the hospital.”
The 24-room inn is being erected adjacent to the Centra Alan B. Pearson Regional Cancer center, which C.L. Lewis also built.
